Eliza Jennings Vogelpohl Honored by LeadingAge Ohio With “Excellence in Caring” Award
(Columbus, Ohio) – Kelly Vogelpohl, Controller at Eliza Jennings, was honored with an “Excellence in Caring” Award from LeadingAge Ohio. The award was presented during the LeadingAge Ohio Awards Luncheon as part of the 2014 Annual Conference and Trade Show. This award is presented to an outstanding member employee; nominees must have supervisory responsibility and demonstrate commitment, leadership and quality outcomes within their organization and profession.
While traditional controller duties may not provide for daily interaction with residents, Vogelpohl found ways to go beyond any traditional definition of her post. She is a devoted SAIDO Learning™ Supporter, spending time with residents and ensuring her team has the opportunity to do the same. She also regularly helps residents navigate insurance policies and other paperwork. She also regularly works with executive leadership of all service lines, serves as a mentor to peers and ensures professional development is an everyday part of the work life. In receiving the award, Vogelpohl was cited for her “quiet strength” in tackling her own workload while helping those around her.
“With an aging population in our state, dedicated aging services professionals are crucial to providing quality housing and health care services to those needing assistance,” said LeadingAge Ohio Professional Recognition Committee Chair Adrienne Walsh. “It is our honor to recognize Kelly Vogelphohl’s embodiment of the not-for-profit difference in her dedication to her organization, profession and those they serve.”
Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized not-for-profit expert in aging services founded in 1888, offers SAIDO Learning, a breakthrough, non-pharmacological treatment shown to improve the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
